Akrasia Effect.....Weakness of will Human beings have been procrastinating for centuries, we Don’t Follow Through on What We Set Out to Do and What to Do About It. But the question is "Why Do We Act Against Our Better Judgment?" Akrasia–so nice to have a word to describe a very complex set of assumptions, decisions, personal biases and biological influences which sometimes help to make my life a little miserable. I guess this is where self-forgiveness and the concept of trying again come into play, to counteract the effects of same. A central problem of our minds is that we know so much in theory about how we should behave but engage so little with our knowledge in our day-to-day conduct. One possible cause could be "Time Inconsistency", our mind values immediate rewards than future ones. Present self really likes instant gratification, not long term payoff. #A_TWISTED_VIEW_OF_MARRIAGE People will see a man washing his clothes and instead of minding their business, they'll say "Ahh man, go and marry so you'll stop washing". They'll see a man cooking and be like "Bro you need to get married so you can stop cooking". A mother will look at his 35years old son who cannot wash his own boxers, boil water for tea or even make his own bed, a 35years old that cannot take his plates to the kitchen after eating and tell him "James, you need to settle down, get a woman to take care of you". SERIOUSLY?? 😳😳 In different ways, the society subconsciously tell men that they don't marry women for any reason other than cleaning, cooking and childbearing. I begin to wonder, does the average man need a wife or a glorified maid? Many women look 3times their age all because of stress and exhaustion. You sit down in front of the TV with your phone and watch your wife work until she's about to pass out...
